Alphonse worked in the finishing room in the mill, from Rumford. Aldea and he first lived in Rumford. They had 11 children Robert, Wilfred (Eleude), Norman, Antoinette, Olivette, Beatrice, Gertrude, Emile, Pauline, Raoul (Ralph or T-Boy), Rene.

Alphonse himself had played the fiddle, and his son Robert also picked it up. Emile and Eleude also developed musical talents, playing several instruments and were close to their cousins, especially Albert. As young adults, and even after they were all married, they continued to get together to have musical jam sessions, which were often tape-recorded.

As of 1967, the girls’ married names were: Pauline Brown, Beatrice Chaney, Antoinette Moris, Gertrude Richards, and Olivette Gallant.

Alphonse and Aldea celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in Oct/Nov 1977, so they must have been married in 1924.
